1. Where did the idea for The GEAR come from?

The GEAR was born on a trail ride in Tennessee, where the minds behind Jeep Performance Parts and trusted partners—both on and off the trail—came together. It started as a shared vision to create a true "road-ready for your destination" experience, blending everyday drivability with off-road capability.

2. Are all Gear vehicles brand new?

Yes, all Gear built vehicles are new vehicles, most of them coming to us direct from their respective assembly lines. New vehicle dealers can also choose to send one of their new vehicles to us for modifications as well.

3. Are all your parts proprietary?

No. Most of the parts used in our Gear packages are available at your local Jeep Dealership direct from the manufacturer, or available in the Mopar Affiliate program.  This makes it easy and offers peace of mind when out on an adventure, the local Jeep dealer can get you back on the road or trail. We recommend avoiding Made in House or Homemade parts that other builders use. Life is short, who want to sit around and wait for Proprietary to get made or vendors to ship.

4. Can I purchase Gear parts separately?

Absolutely ! We and the network of thousands of Jeep Dealers in the country stock or can get all the replacement parts you could possibly need. No special hoops to jump through.  We want your GEAR ownership experience to be as top notch as our craftmanship, if you get into an accident your body shop will not have to fight through a screening process to get replacement parts while potentially driving a sub-optimal rental car for months driving up the insurance claim cost. The only time we’ll ask for you VIN number is to make sure we get the parts you need for your vehicle.

5. Can I mix and match parts from different brands of packages?

No. Each of our packages are carefully designed and planned to work together. Each of them adheres to our strict brand guidelines to ensure that quality, consistency, function and flow are all at world-class levels for each build.

6. Will you modify my used vehicle to Gear specifications?

Unfortunately, no. The used car factory is not as consistent as the new one is.  But you can build your own ! The secret behind our recipe is simple most of the parts used to build the GEAR are available at your local Jeep Dealer, give us a call and we will supply you with all the current part numbers or you can buy them from us.

7. Do Gear modifications void my factory warranty?

No. We honor and uphold the factory 3 year/36,000 mile warranty of every Gear vehicles.

8. Do Gear parts and accessories carry their own warranty?

Absolutely! All parts built and installed by us are covered under a 3 year/36,000 mile (whichever comes first) warranty. What’s even better? If your vehicle ever requires service, you can take it directly to your local dealership for a hassle-free experience.
